Commissioning & Qualification

Commissioning allows clients to have documented confirmation that their new project will be designed to meet or exceed all of the project goals. Commissioning also assures the proper operation of all commissioned systems, reduces contractor callbacks, and improves future operation and maintenance.

We realize that commissioning has different benefits for every client. We approach commissioning as a value-add engineering effort and we aim to provide our experience, engineering talent, and project organization that matches the needs of the client best. As a large MEP firm, we can bring the talents of our full engineering staff to the commissioning process. From Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls, we will back the Commissioning Agent with specific trade expertise from within our organization.

The Owner is constructing a Research and Technology Campus in a downtown urban center. The campus consists of a 500,000 sq. ft Research Facility, accompanied by a 900 car Parking Garage and a 50,000 sq. ft Central Utility Plant. The Central Utility Plant includes over 5,100 tons of chiller capacity, six cooling towers, over 1,000 HP of pumping capacity, 3,000 HP of boiler capacity, electrical switchgear, lighting controls, standby generator, as well as controls and life safety systems.
