Weidmann Electrical Technology This paper manufacturer and converter produces cellulose components for industrial electrical equipment. They had an existing design program, written in C, to assist in the specification and design of their converted cellulose components. In order to work properly the system required frequent programming changes. This made the program difficult to use and therefore unsatisfactory. The customer contacted Hallam-ICS for assistance in redesigning the program. |
Most pulp & paper facilities in North America have been in operation for many years. It is not uncommon for system documentation to be incomplete and control systems approaching obsolescence. With tight budgets and smaller engineering staff responsible for keeping the plant running, completing projects can be challenging.
