Introducing: The Arc Flash Team Pet Squad!

Pets are a big part of our lives at Hallam-ICS. I remember when I had my interview a little over a year ago, there was a dog trotting around in the office! If you have a pet, you know how important they are. This is something almost all of us share at Hallam-ICS. Whether it's playing fetch with one of the dogs in the office or laughing about cats walking in front of our cameras during the meetings, we are all pet lovers here! Our flexible and casual work environment allows us to bring our pets to work and spend time with them working from home if we need to. Having pets in the office is a great way to cheer everyone up on a Monday, so here are some of the Arc Flash teams finest!

Parker

AKA: Mr. Steal Your Food

Favorite snack: Anything that doesn't belong to him

Hobbies: Swimming, fetch, suntanning

Hallam Human: Jordan Powell, Arch Flash Technical Specialist

This big boy here is Parker! He is a yellow lab who loves belly scritches and coming with his dad to work! He regularly makes an appearance in the office and loves to be the center of attention here. If anyone has food in the office, you know he will be there begging and drooling.

Stache

AKA: Stacher (Lelu's sister)

Hobbies: Burying all human food, snuggles, looking at you like she's judging

Hallam Human: Steven Johnson, Electrical Designer

Stache is a snuggly girl who loves walking on dad's keyboard during meetings. She is deeply disturbed by all human food and tries to smack and bury it!

Lelu

AKA: Crazy (Stache's sister)

Favorite snack: rawhide

Hobbies: Ruining her dad's life

Hallam Human: Steven Johnson, Electrical Designer

Lelu is a puppy who has a lot of energy, too much at times. Her life's goal is to make her dad miserable (according to her dad), and she loves chewing on rawhides because she's still teething!

Finn

AKA: Tail-less Wonder (Link's brother)

Favorite snack: His tail (RIP gone but not forgotten)

Hobbies: ZOOMIES, window watching, snuggles with mom

Hallam Human: Kimberly Witte, Manager of Electrical Safety Operations

Finn thinks he's the alpha of the house. He is a momma's boy who likes to snuggle, look out the window, and gets the zoomies late at night. Sometimes he will sleep with his hard hat on because you can never be too safe!

AKA: The Loudest Licker South of the Mississippi (Finn's brother)

Hobbies: Using the curtain as a balaclava, destroying toys, boat rides

Hallam Human: Kimberly Witte, Manager of Electrical Safety Operations

Link is also a momma's boy (poor dad) who can't sit still for pictures. He may be short on brain cells, but his cuteness makes up for it. He will pout if he doesn't get enough attention and can sometimes be spotted sleeping together on the couch with Finn where they perform hard hat safety checks!

Zoey

AKA: Cercei's Daughter

Hobbies: Being cute

Hallam Human: Scott King, VP & National Director of Electrical Safety Services

Zoey is very laid back and friendly. She is a cutie who would never hurt a soul! She will occasionally make herself known in the arc flash meetings.

Cercei

AKA: Zoey's mom

Favorite snack: Zoey D:

Hobbies: Letting everyone know who's boss

Hallam Human: Scott King, VP & National Director of Electrical Safety Services

Small but mighty, Cercei is the boss of the house. Don't let her cute looks and small stature fool you! She is the total opposite of Zoey, her daughter.

Milo

AKA: Mr. Rotisserie

Favorite snack: Chimken (Obviously)

Hobbies: Fetch, stealing food, snuggling with mom

Hallam Human: Kaitlin Slattery, Electrical Designer

Milo is a 1 year old Siamese kitty who acts more like a dog than a cat. He likes to regularly make an appearance in the weekly arc flash meetings when his mom is working from home. He is very clingy and will eat almost anything. He loves to meow a lot, especially when carrying around his ball in his mouth.

Billy

AKA: Big paw Billy

Favorite snack: Chicken Greenies

Hobbies: Performing safety checks on mom's hard hat

Hallam Human: Cassie Mallabar, Electrical Engineer

Billy has big paws because he was born with extra toes! He takes the term "scaredy cat" a little too literally sometimes and will run away at any unknown sound. He is a safety connoisseur and performs regular safety compliance checks on his mom's hard hat!

About the Author

Kaitlin graduated in 2022 from UNC Charlotte with a BS in Electrical Engineering. She has been working as an Electrical Designer in the Arc Flash Team at Hallam-ICS for a little over a year. Outside of work, she enjoys playing piano and taking funny pictures of her cat, Milo, with safety gear on.
