The successful candidate will have experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams, coordinating with sub-consultants, successfully engaging with and satisfying clients and be excited by the opportunity to expand and grow our business.
Qualifications:
Overall Activities: As a Hallam-ICS intern, you will work with experienced engineers in the design of mechanical, electrical and control systems for complex facilities, both large and small. Working with different engineers and on different projects, you will be exposed to the design practices and standards required to develop energy efficient, reliable, code compliant building and process systems.
It is anticipated there may be a mix of remote/ in office work with some site visits to local projects in different phases of construction. As an Intern, you will perform a variety of tasks, ranging from document management, design drawing using AutoCAD and Revit, calculations using spreadsheet software, product research and other activities while gaining exposure to different aspects of the engineering process.
This position is best suited to a student entering their final year of engineering study.

We are seeking a control system engineer to join the Hallam-ICS team in our Malta, New York office. As a member of our Controls team, you are responsible for designing, installing, managing and/or maintaining equipment used to monitor and control automation systems and machinery. You have the opportunity to put your skills to work programming PLCs, HMI’s, VFD’s and SCADA systems and assisting in proposal development. Additional experience with networking and virtualized environments is desirable but not required.

ENTRY LEVEL COMMISSIONING ENGINEER – Middletown, CT
We currently have an opening for an Entry Level Commissioning Engineer in our Middletown, CT office serving commercial, institutional, and industrial clients.
Commissioning is a quality-based approach to construction projects which ensures the design engineers’ intent is reflected in the finished product. Commissioning promotes communication among the construction trades, confirms complex interdisciplinary building systems function as intended, and documents this for the owner.
Overall Activities: In this GROWTH position, the successful candidate will be introduced to the commissioning industry, have the opportunity to learn the process, and then put those skills and practices to use as part of a multi-disciplinary project team. You will review engineering drawings and equipment submittals and verify proper installation of systems during construction. Alongside senior commissioning engineers, you’ll test systems to verify proper operation and performance. Throughout this process you will meet with the construction team and owner’s representatives to discuss scheduling, status, and observations.
