Debbie Shepard

My childhood was based in South Burlington, Vermont.  When I was 18, I wanted out!  I applied to Texas Christian University early decision, was accepted and off I went to Texas, sight unseen!  TCU was a wonderful life changing experience.  After graduation I continued to live in Fort Worth while commuting to Lomas Mortgage in Dallas.  On holiday in Vermont, I met my future husband at a New Year’s Eve party and six months later returned to Vermont engaged to Mark and enrolled in a master’s program at the University of Vermont.  I graduated with my master’s degree, have been married for almost three decades and am a Mom to two adult sons. 

Working full-time for the past thirty years I have gained experience in several different industries including banking, healthcare, manufacturing, and retail in the departments of accounting, finance, and human resources.  I learned about the opportunity at Hallam-ICS from Tricia whose husband I worked with at AER.  I remember him giving high praise for Tricia’s employer, so I reached out to Jim and Tricia when I learned of the Financial Controller opportunity.  Based on her very positive feedback regarding Hallam-ICS I went thru the interview process and here I am!  I am excited to learn from and work with the accounting team, as well as the whole Hallam-ICS community.
