My Hallam Story

Jason Motyka | Controls Design Engineer

My Hallam story only started a short time ago, especially considering the tenure of many fellow Hallamites, which in itself says these guys are doing something right.  I started with Hallam-ICS in October of 2016 as a controls design engineer.  Prior to Hallam I worked primarily in small scale power generation and system integration with a heavy tilt towards renewable energy sources. Megawatt gas turbines, kilowatt microturbines, hydrogen generators, diesel generators, photovoltaics, wind turbines to name a few, basically all over the map.  All of these power generation sources require controls to keep them in line and I have been involved with these control systems for over 20 years.  Being familiar with these control systems, I can see Hallam-ICS designs use only industry recognized high quality components. You can be confident you will have reliable operation and product support over the life of your control systems.

I still reside in the small Vermont town I grew up in with my wife two children and our rescue dog.  I have travelled extensively throughout my working career but always appreciate coming back home to Vermont.  When I’m not at work you might find me “finishing” my house, hording firewood, making maple syrup or trying to keep some old equipment running way past its intended life.
