I have spent basically all of my professional life in some form of Project Management. Going back even further, I realized that I was being trained in the basics of Project Management since day 1 of the Engineering and Management program at Clarkson University: to be able to understand technical problems, the solutions to those problems, and then apply knowledge from other areas to figure out how to the job done.
My approach to Project Management focuses on developing a clear and effective plan, putting the right people in the right places, and then doing whatever it takes to allow them to do their job as efficiently as possible. I am willing to lend a hand whenever needed, act as a shield to block out distractions, and listen to the team’s concerns and take action to remediate them. I believe that no matter how big or small a project is, it needs a good team. It is evident that Hallam has a great team and is one of many reasons I chose to come onboard.
After spending several years working as a PM for a mission critical commissioning firm, I was contacted by Keith Flaherty. After learning a bit about the strategy, core values, and structure, I realized that Hallam checked all of the boxes I was looking for in an employer, and even checked some that I didn’t know were on my list. The focus on employees through the ESOP program and emphasizing work/life balance, and commitment to the community struck me as the type of things that would lead to an extremely rewarding career. I feel lucky to be a part of the team and look forward to learning from my coworkers every day.
