"Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a not for profit group that had it’s beginning in Idaho and is now spread all over the country. It arrived in Vermont in 2019 when 3 childhood friends were looking to find a purpose in their retirement years. They found it in SHP. Donations are the backbone of our builds along with the volunteers that show up to do the work. Lumber is our largest expense. Bedding donations arrive almost daily from friends far and near. All donations go towards beds for these children."

"The sole purpose of SHP is to provide beds and bedding to children that have no place to sleep at night. Many are sharing beds with parents, on sofas and chairs and many make nests on the floor. The idea of a child with no place to sleep is unimaginable. Ask any teacher and they will tell you that a tired, hungry child is very disruptive. A child well fed and well rested becomes a child ready to learn."
