Laura Shrestha
BIM Coordinator
With Hallam-ICS Since 2026
My Hallam Story began through an unexpected connection. I became friends with Jim Believeau from IMAGINiT at a social gathering, and after learning that his company didn't have any openings, he generously reached out to a few people at Hallam on my behalf. Before long, Hallam contacted me, and the rest is history.
Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, I moved to the Northeast in 2002 to pursue my education. I earned a bachelor's degree in Design Studies with a focus on preservation and sustainability, followed by a master's degree in Architecture from the Boston Architectural College. My graduate work centered on developing design guidelines for individuals with Sensory Processing Disorders and the built environment.
Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work across architecture, construction, and technical support. I began my career in architecture and construction before serving as a Technical Support Specialist III Subject Matter Expert at Autodesk, where I supported products including AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Autodesk Docs, A360, BIM 360, and Autodesk Construction Cloud. After Autodesk, I joined TG Gallagher as a BIM Coordinator and Autodesk Technical Support Specialist, further expanding my experience in the construction industry before finding my way to Hallam.
Joining Hallam has allowed me to build on that experience while working alongside talented people who value collaboration and continuous learning. I'm excited to continue growing professionally and contributing to the company's success.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, gardening, playing video games, and participating in video game beta testing.
