Sam Angell
Instrumentation and Controls Technician
With Hallam-ICS Since 2024
I grew up in Montpelier VT, where I live today with my wife. I gained an interest in the Electrical trade via working as a Ski Lift Mechanic in Alta, UT. In 2021, I join the Electrical Apprenticeship in Vermont with a Residential and Commercial Solar Company. I quickly rose through the ranks and became a crew foreman in just a couple years. As my knowledge of the Electrical field grew, I found myself wanting to expand my technical skills further than Solar could take me. I was so impressed with Hallam's clear and concise communications during my interview process, that I decided to take the plunge. Company values are extremely important to me, so the ESOP and B corp were an easy sell, as well.
I enjoy the complexity, and hands on nature of controls work. The fact that I get to be a piece in the puzzle on some truly impactful projects that keep people safe, or allow them to do critical, and groundbreaking work keeps me going. I very much look forward to continuing to grow and learn in the field.
