ANTIDET SUPPRESSOR

Explosion Suppression System

The ANTIDET SUPPRESSOR Explosion Suppression System delivers unbeatable protection. Designed to detect threats instantly and neutralize them before damage occurs.

This system detects the early signs of an explosion (pressure or flame) and  immediately injects an extinguishing agent into the protected equipment.

ANTIDET SUPPRESSOR Explosion Suppression System

ANTIDET BARRIER

Explosion Isolation System

This system delivers fast, reliable explosion isolation across industrial piping, ductwork, and conveying systems. Capable of stopping propagation in both directions, ANTIDET keeps your people and equipment safe.

By instantly discharging an extinguishing agent into the inlet/outlet of the protected equipment, it actively interrupts the combustion process and stops explosion
transfer.

Active Explosion Protection - FAQs

What is active explosion protection and when is it used?

Active systems detect a deflagration in milliseconds and respond to stop the explosion (suppression) or block its spread (isolation). Choose active protection when venting is impractical (indoors, people/equipment nearby) or when you want to minimize damage and downtime.

How does explosion suppression work?

The ANTIDET SUPPRESSOR monitors pressure/optical signals and instantly discharges an extinguishing agent into the equipment, quenching the flame front before pressure can build to destructive levels.

How does explosion isolation work?

The ANTIDET BARRIER discharges suppressant into interconnecting ducts/pipes to create a fast, temporary barrier that prevents flame and pressure from propagating to upstream/downstream equipment.

Do these systems cover metal dusts?

Yes. ANTIDET systems are certified for St1 and St2 dusts (Kst up to 300 bar·m/s), including metal dust applications. Media are selected to match the hazard—e.g., Furex for metal dusts, Pulvex for general industry, and baking soda for food applications.

Where can they be installed and how do they integrate?

Systems are suitable indoors or outdoors, operate in wide temperature ranges, provide real-time data logging, and integrate with plant controls/SCADA for alarms, interlocks, and shutdowns.

What happens after an event—how fast can we restart?

Active protection is designed for a rapid return to service. Isolation has no moving parts to repair—replace the bottles and reset. Suppression typically requires limited cleanup/inspection compared with major repairs after a vented blast.
