I had been searching for a few months for a new job after working in the Tech Industry for a software company for 6.5 years. Prior to this, I worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade in front of the house, back of the house and everything in between. I was ready for a change. I kept seeing this ‘Senior Office Coordinator’ position come up as recommended to me on various platforms and I would kind of read through it and then I wouldn’t apply, this happened 3 or 4 times. Finally, it came up again and I decided to apply. The job description seemed to fit exactly what I was looking for. Every person I spoke to about the job said, “that sounds perfect for you!”
Once I applied, I heard back quickly via email and setup a phone interview with Mary Beth. The first thing I noticed when I heard back from Mary Beth was the tone of her e-mail. It was so kind and every interaction I have had with her and with everyone else I have met here at Hallam-ICS, were just the same. I kept gushing to my husband, I can’t believe how nice and thoughtful everyone is at this company, I joked I thought I might be joining a cult.
After each interview I got more and more excited at the prospect of this job opportunity and really felt this position was exactly what I had been looking for at a company that truly valued and respected its employees. Once I received the offer letter, I knew my gut instinct had been right – this is where I am supposed to be!
