Chuck Rainville

Chuck is a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager for Hallam-ICS’s with nearly 40 years of experience. His career at Hallam-ICS commenced in 1984 after having started in the consulting engineering field in 1978. Chuck has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Architectural & Building Engineering Technology from Vermont Technical College. Chuck is a licensed Professional Engineer in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and North Carolina and is a member of ASHRAE the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. Chuck has experience in mechanical, plumbing and process systems designs for the commercial, institutional, industrial markets.

Millions of Revolutions (the pedaling kind) in The Green Mountain State-part 4

Continuing from my previous blog, the second day of riding on May 8th took us to Bennington County where I completed the roads of Sandgate, Arlington, Sunderland, Winhall and Manchester except for the Mount Equinox toll road. This road, like the Mt. Ascutney State Park road, is represented on the Official Road Map with a light green line type denoting a paved recreational highway. The days riding totaled 83 miles and over 5,000 feet of climbing.

In my previous blog, I shared my quest to join the Vermont 251 Club.  While reading on internet sites about 251 Club members who had visited each town by bicycle, I learned about Joe Cook of Dummerston, Vermont. Joe, at a similar late 50’s age as I, completed his quest to ride his touring bike the full length of every paved road on the Vermont state highway map.
